MEET DR. AL OLSZEWSKI
MEET DR. AL OLSZEWSKI

Born and raised in Great Falls, Dr. Al Olszewski leads by the example of true conservative Montanan values: God, country, and family. He’s running for Congress to be a proud conservative voice for Western Montana in Washington.
Dr. Al is the great grandson of farmers and miners who pioneered Central Montana and the Hi-Line. A graduate of CM Russel High School and Carroll College, Dr. Al earned his medical degree in 1988 from the University of Washington, and he’s been voted Flathead Valley’s Best Orthopedist every year since 2018.
Over the past 20 years, Dr. Al has cared for over 100,000 patients and was an innovator in the development of minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, performing the first minimally invasive total knee replacement in South America. Dr. Al has been honored for his outstanding service to the medical community and patients of Montana.
A truly selfless leader, Dr. Al volunteered in the early medical response to the devastating 2010 Haiti Earthquake as a trauma surgeon.
He was one of the first outside medical personnel on the ground after the natural disaster and provided orthopedic care to the children of Port Au Prince.
In the 1980’s, Dr. Al answered the call to serve his country and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He served 13 years as a flight surgeon and rapid mobility trauma surgeon. As a member of a Forward Surgical Team, Major Olszewski completed specialized training to perform emergency surgery on the battlefield. He received Air Force Commendation medals for being a rapid response medical provider during the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995 and the Manta Ecuador Air Disaster in 1996.
Dr. Al was elected to the Montana House of Representatives in 2014 and the Montana State Senate in 2016. A proven conservative in the legislature, he has been a true fighter for everyday Montanans, working to defend the Second Amendment, protect the unborn, rein-in the high cost of healthcare, open public lands, and protect agriculture.
Dr. Al resides in Kalispell with his wife of 34 years, Nancee. Together they are blessed with six children and three grandchildren, including two foster children who found their forever home with the Olszewski family.
